Wes

Wes hadn’t felt this connected to someone after sex… ever. He rarely partook in one-night stands, and it took awhile for him to build enough of an emotional connection to be ready for sex, but with Charlie… he’d felt a connection to Charlie that first night they met, but he hadn’t expected it to be like this. She was ambitious and took charge when she knew what she wanted, but was okay letting him take the lead sometimes. He lightly ran his thumb over her brow, brushing a hair out of her face. She sighed in her sleep, nestling closer to him. He put his arm around her, pulling her even closer.

He was thankful for whatever star had looked down on them both and blessed them with this week. He wasn’t sure if it would continue after this cruise, but with them living in the same city, it was definitely a possibility.

Charlie groaned and opened her eyes, gazing up at him.

“Hi,” she whispered, her cheeks turning a bright red.

“Hi there,” he said, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. She was beautiful.

“How long did I fall asleep for?” she asked, sitting up, momentarily forgetting that she was naked under the sheets, exposing her breasts to his gaze before pulling the sheet back up.

Wes was momentarily distracted by them, longing to reach out and caress them. Shaking his head, “Not long. Maybe an hour.”

“Ah,” she signed, shaking her head in disbelief. “I can’t believe we just had sex in the middle of the day. I’ve never done that before.” She sunk back down into the bed and pulled the covers over her head.

Wes lounged on his side, propping his head up in his hand, gazing at Charlie. “You’ve never had sex in the middle of the day?” He was getting worried that she was regretting her decision and though he would accept it if this was a onetime occurrence, he wanted it to be so much more.

“It hasn’t exactly been on my to-do list,” she said from under the covers.

He could hear the hint of a smile in her voice, dissuading his fears. “Anything else we should take care of that isn’t on your to-do list?” he asked jokingly.

Charlie pulled the covers back from over her head and saw the laughter in his eyes.

“Let me think about that and get back to you. I’m sure I can find something,” she said, reaching for him.

Who was he to deny her a kiss? He leaned down over her, taking her bottom lip between his lips and sucking. This was what contentment felt like.

“Mmmm… what time is it?” Charlie asked, breaking the kiss and stretching her arms above her head, putting her breasts front and center for Wes’s hands.

“Does it matter?” he asked, lightly rubbing his thumb over her nipple.

“Uhhh…” she responded, trying to focus on her words. “I wish it didn’t, but you said you had lunch plans with your sister.”

He immediately stopped touching her and threw his legs over the side of the bed.
